Our Chianti Classico is made primarily of the local Sangiovese grape with small additions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Depending on the vintage, the blend varies. The normal Chianti Classico is aged for 12 months in used French tonneaux of 500 and 700 litres while the Chianti Classico Riserva is aged for about 18 months in new and used French tonneaux. The Riserva benefits from further bottle-aging before release.
